Terms and Conditions:

Welcome to the SAFE Basketball Tournament (“Tournament”). By submitting a team registration, you (“Team Representative”) agree to the following:

‍Acceptance of Rules.
All teams and participants agree to abide by the Tournament rules, policies, and any directives issued by SAFE Basketball staff, officials, and host facilities.

‍Eligibility and Divisions.
Teams must register in the division that matches the grade/age criteria outlined. Tournament directors reserve the right to combine or reclassify divisions based on registration numbers and competitive balance.

‍Conduct.
All participants, including coaches, players, families, and spectators, must conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner. SAFE Basketball reserves the right to eject any individual whose conduct is inappropriate or unsafe.

‍Event Changes.
SAFE Basketball may modify schedules, venues, or other event details due to weather, facility availability, or other circumstances beyond its control.

‍Liability Waiver.
All participants understand that basketball is a physical sport and assume all risks associated with participation. SAFE Basketball and its affiliates, sponsors, volunteers, and venues are not liable for injuries, loss, or damage incurred during the event.

‍Media Release.
By participating, teams grant SAFE Basketball the right to use photographs and video for promotional purposes without compensation.

‍Governing Law.
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Tournament is held.

SAFE Basketball (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information during tournament registration.

‍Information We Collect.
We collect personal information provided during registration, including name, email, phone number, team information, coach contact details, and other optional details (jersey size, school, etc.).

‍How We Use Your Information.
We use your information to administer the tournament, communicate important updates, send confirmations, and provide services related to your participation.

‍Third-Party Processors.
We use third-party services (such as Stripe via Exposure) to process payments. These providers may collect and use personal data solely to perform their services. We do not share your data for marketing without your consent.

‍Data Security.
We protect personal data with reasonable safeguards. However, no transmission over the internet or storage mechanism can be fully guaranteed secure.

‍Retention.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for tournament administration, legal compliance, and as required by Exposure’s systems.

‍Your Choices.
You may contact us to update or correct your information. If you do not wish to receive communications, you may opt out of promotional emails, but essential communications (registration confirmation, schedule changes) may still be sent.

‍Children’s Privacy.
If participants are minors, parent/guardian contact information may be required. We do not knowingly share personal information of minors outside of tournament administration.
